In the United States, the restaurant industry employs approximately 8 percent of the American workforce or about 11,000,000 people, and it is the largest employer outside of government. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the restaurant industry will grow by 30% over the next two years. According to industry professionals and owners, the major challenge is to find educated, competent, and well-trained management personnel to accommodate this growth.
The Restaurant Management Associate Degree program is designed to prepare students for management positions in the field of restaurant and hospitality management. Students study in New Hampshire and at the Les Roches Swiss Hotel Association School of Management in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. Les Roches is considered to be among the finest hotel management schools in the world. Its graduates are sought by the world's top hotels and restaurants, and they occupy influential positions in the hospitality industry.
